IPI Course Presentation

DRILNET offers via Learning Management System a training course "Introduction to petroleum industry". The course is commercialized as a separate product, and also presented as an example of training that can be offered via Learning Management System.

It is a self-placed learning available anytime & anywhere. It requires neither physical attendance nor travel costs.

The training course is used as a text-book for self-instruction and self assessment and also as a complete
training course support for personnel working with or within a petroleum industry company. The self study
can be tutored by a subject matter expert.

The training course "Introduction to petroleum industry" is designed for beginners (professionals,
executives and all the observers of the oil industry). This course is available for companies personnel
and by individual subscription.

• MODULES • Interactive review integrating basic knowledge and principles of Geology, Oil Exploration, Drilling, Development, Production, Well Design, Refining etc.

• GLOSSARY • An alphabetical list of petroleum terms with their definitions allows a better understanding of the course by students.

• VIDEO GALLERY • Several movies offer the possibility to students to observe and better understand various petroleum processes.

• QUIZ • An on-line testing application maintained by DRILNET allows instructors to test their trainees wherever they are and to treat automatically the test results. The questions data base is adjustable depending on the instructors' needs.

The objective of this training is to allow the discovery of oil environment. This goal is achieved through 10 learning modules going from exploration to transportation and trade, using thematic videos and rich petroleum glossary. The quiz is proposed at the end of each module in order to assess the knowledge acquisition.
The final test is used for global assessment.
